In the car, our caring and informative guide will give you an exciting warm-up and provide you a brief introduction to the excursion. After an hour and a half, you will arrive in Cu Chi. CNN announced a list of the most attractive underground attractions in the world, and it included the Cu Chi Tunnels. This is an underground defense system made up of secret tunnels that linked one village to another during the war. This was not only a haven for guerrillas, but also a center of community life. The tunnel, which is 200 km long, is designed to be extremely complex; under the bombed villages were schools, rooms, clinics, kitchens, storage rooms, working rooms.
Begin the tour by visiting the Handmade Trap museum, and the Weapons gallery. You will be amazed by seeing and hearing interesting information about the way people used their hands and their minds to fight one of the world’s most powerful armies. There is also an intricate trench system, with tunnels leading to the Dong Du base, where America's 25th Infantry Division (nicknamed "Tropic Lightning") was based in Cu Chi.
Afterward, we descend into the world-famous tunnel, which represents the wisdom and creativity of the Vietnamese. This will give you a chance to step in time and see how people lived, worked and fought in such difficult conditions, determined to defend their beliefs.
Depart from Cu Chi and drive back to HCM city. On the way back, we will stop by a rubber farm to have a look at one of the oldest and biggest industries in Vietnam before heading back to HCM city. You can recognize rubber plantations by the regimented rows of trees. The farmers rise early to go to work, and if you’re lucky you’ll get to watch the rubber tappers at work.
2:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Arrive HCM city, drop guest off at the hotel – tour finished.
