Your day begins with our professional and knowledgeable Tiger Guide picking you up in a private car. Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive through picturesque rice paddies and the Vam Co Tay River as we head to Ben Tre province.
Morning:
- Hàm Luông Pier: Board a private boat and cruise along the Hàm Luông River, a branch of the Mekong. Along the way, stop at various local workplaces to gain insight into the local economy:
- A traditional brick-making workshop, where bricks are meticulously handcrafted and baked using time-honored techniques.
- A coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other useful products.
- A mat-weaving house, where you’ll observe how straw mats are created on hand looms. You can even try weaving one yourself!
- Stroll through a quiet village to experience authentic Delta life before riding a motor cart (xe lôi) or a bicycle. Journey along shady paths, passing lush green rice fields, vegetable gardens, and vibrant fruit orchards.
Midday:
- After lunch, board a sampan for a peaceful ride along narrow, serene canals, soaking in the tranquility of the Mekong Delta.
- Stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant featuring Mekong specialties and fresh Vietnamese dishes.
- Return to Hàm Luông Pier and rejoin your private car for the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.
5:30 p.m. – Hotel Drop-off
Arrive back at your hotel, marking the end of an unforgettable day exploring the hidden charms of the Mekong Delta.
